PCS-13275
HIGH SOLIDS, ACRYLIC MODIFIED,
AIR DRY ENAMEL

DESCRIPTION:  PCS-13275 is an acrylic modified, high solids, alkyd enamel.  The acrylic modification of the coating enhances the gloss and color retention properties for improved exterior durability and service life.

This product is VOC (Volatile Organic Content) compliant as defined by USEPA regulations and is HAP(s) (Hazardous Air Pollutants) free.

We also manufacture an alternative product, PCS-13270 that does contain HAP(s), which offers an initial economical advantage in cost per gallon.  Both products offer the same physical characteristics and durability.  We suggest that any cost savings realized in the use of PCS-13270 be weighed against the cost of regulatory compliance for determination of which product would actually cost less over an extended period of time.

USES:  OEM, implement finishes, general metals finishing, dumpsters and refuse equipment, and structural steel.

SURFACE PREPARATION:  As with all coatings, the better the surface preparation, the more protection the coating can offer. At a minimum, we suggest solvent wiping the parts to remove any oils and grease present on the surface.  If a primer is desired, PCS-13195 Corrosion Inhibitive Industrial Primer is recommended.

REDUCTION:  No reduction is required as PCS-13275 is supplied ready to spray.  If reduction is required, we recommend that small amounts of R115-89 be used to keep this product in compliance with VOC regulations.

CLEAN UP:  Clean up immediately after use with Xylene, lacquer thinner, or any of the Ketone family of solvents.

CAUTIONS:  Flammable mixture.  Contains solvents.   Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame.  Use only with adequate ventilation.  AVOID PROLONGED BREATHING OF VAPORS.  AVOID PROLONGED OR REPEATED CONTACT WITH SKIN.  Keep containers closed when not in use.  If used in confined areas, observe the following precautions to prevent hazards of fire or explosions or damage to health: (1) circulate adequate fresh air continuously during application and drying; (2) use fresh air masks and explosion-proof equipment; (3) prohibit all flames, sparks, welding, and smoking near area.

If swallowed, do not induce vomiting.  Call a physician immediately.  For eye contact, flush with lots of water.  In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water.

See material safety data sheets for full precautions prior to use.

PCS-13275 is intended for INDUSTRIAL USE ONLY.
